Empathy is our memories unearthed, like water escaping a glacier pocket. Only beneath our frigid compacency can the stream begin to flow. Water will represent Sara and Jordan's internal state and their subtle impact on each other. In contrast, their degrading relationship will reflect in the cracking of ice. Tying us further together, the ensemble's humming nods to the oral history of the Yaghan and Fuegian people.
Over the course of the show, Jordan will evidently stifle Sara's subglacial stream and replace it with the strain of breaking ice in the distance. Sara's internal current will, in turn, haunt Jordan on the road to Ushuaia. "Her dreams may be so deep inside him, He won't know what it is." Only by remediating their relationship and listening to our planet can they find peace
